Chapter 39: HIS LUNA
The Gathering of the Witches
By the time they reached the grand dining hall, everyone was already
gathered. Yoongi, Jimin, and Hoseok sat together, while Namjoon and Jin were at
the head of the table, discussing something in hushed voices. But the most
notable presence was the witches—three robed figures sitting silently at the
other end of the table.
Their leader, an elderlywoman with piercing silver eyes, nodded at Taehyung
as he entered. “Welcome, True Alpha. We have much to discuss.”
After everyone settled, the meal began, though the tension in the air was
thick with anticipation.
“We need to talk about Woosik,” Namjoon started, his gaze serious. “And what
the witches have discovered so far.”
The elder witch nodded, placing her goblet down. “The seal that binds Woosik
is weakening. Dark forces are gathering, drawn to his power. If he breaks free,
the chaos he once caused will be nothing compared to what is to come.”
Jungkook clenched his fists, his wolf stirring at the mere mention of
Woosik’s name.
“The only way to stop him permanently,” the elder continued, “is for the
True Alpha and True Omega to awaken their full potential.” Her gaze shifted to
Jungkook. “Your wolf, Luna, is also sealed. Without him, you are not yet
complete.”
Taehyung reached for Jungkook’s hand under the table, squeezing it gently.
“What must be done?” Taehyung asked.
“The ritual for Taehyung’s awakening must take place under the next full
moon,” she stated. “But even that will not be enough. Woosik grows stronger
each day, feeding off dark magic. His power will soon surpass what it once
was.”
“Then how do we defeat him?” Jin asked.
The elder witch's expression was grave. “Only when the True Alpha and True
Omega unite in the most sacred way will their full strength be unleashed. Their
souls must merge completely.”
A heavy silence fell over the table.
Jungkook's eyes widened slightly, understanding what she meant. Mating.
Their full power would only surface once they truly became one in every sense.
His cheeks tinted pink, but Taehyung, ever composed, only smirked slightly.
He lifted Jungkook's hand to his lips and kissed it gently, making Jungkook
glare at him.
“Then we will be ready,” Taehyung said, his voice unwavering. “No matter
what it takes, we will win this war.”
The elder witch’s silver eyes darkened. “You must be prepared. The next full
moon is in four days. Woosik will try to stop the ritual.”
Namjoon’s expression hardened. “What do you mean?”
“If the ritual is interrupted, it cannot be performed again,” she warned.
“This is your only chance. Should Woosik succeed in stopping it, your fates
will be sealed.”
A chill settled over the room at her words. Jungkook felt his heart pound
faster. They had to succeed—failure was not an option.
The witches stood in unison. “Prepare well,” the elder witch said, her voice
echoing with finality. Then, before anyone could respond, they vanished into
thin air, leaving behind only the flickering sparks and the weight of their
ominous warning.
