Chapter 40: HIS LUNA

Shameless Teasing and Hidden Desires

The moment the witches disappeared, the tension in the air finally loosened, but Jungkook’s mind was still whirling with everything they had said. Four days. Only four days before the ritual that would decide everything.

Jungkook sighed as he walked beside Taehyung toward their chamber, his arms crossed as he replayed the conversation in his head. He didn’t even notice Taehyung glancing at him every few seconds, smirking like a devil waiting to strike.

The moment they stepped inside their room, Taehyung suddenly spun around, grabbing Jungkook’s waist and pulling him flush against his chest.

Jungkook gasped, his hands instinctively landing on Taehyung’s shoulders. “What the hell—”

Taehyung dipped his head, his lips brushing against Jungkook’s ear. “You’re thinking too much, baby,” he whispered, his voice dripping with amusement. “That pretty little head of yours must be exhausted.”

Jungkook shivered, his face heating up instantly. “L-Let go, you shameless idiot,” he stuttered, trying to push away, but Taehyung held on tighter, his grip firm but gentle.

“You’re so cute when you stutter,” Taehyung chuckled, tilting Jungkook’s chin up to look into his eyes. “I missed this… missed holding you, teasing you, watching you turn all red because of me.”

Jungkook scoffed, trying to mask his embarrassment with sass. “You’re insufferable.”

Taehyung feigned a dramatic sigh. “Ah, but you still fell in love with me. My poor, poor baby.”

Jungkook’s eye twitched. “Who said anything about love? I just tolerate you.”

Taehyung pouted mockingly. “Oh? Then why were you cuddling me all night? Clinging to me like a baby koala?”

Jungkook’s face turned a deep shade of red. “I-I was cold, you dumbass!”

Taehyung grinned. “Then should I warm you up again?”

Before Jungkook could react, Taehyung leaned in, his lips ghosting over Jungkook’s cheek before trailing down to his jaw. Jungkook’s breath hitched, his fingers tightening around Taehyung’s shoulders.

“W-We should get ready for training,” Jungkook mumbled, his voice losing its usual sharpness.

Taehyung smirked against his skin, placing a soft kiss on his jawline. “Say please.”

Jungkook snapped out of his daze, pushing Taehyung away and glaring at him. “Go train by yourself, you perverted wolf!”

Taehyung only laughed, watching as Jungkook stormed off to change. He licked his lips, eyes twinkling with mischief.

But just as Jungkook turned away, Taehyung swiftly pulled him back into his arms, spinning him effortlessly until Jungkook was pinned against the wall.

“You always run away after I tease you,” Taehyung mused, his voice dangerously low. “Why don’t you ever fight back, baby?”

Jungkook gulped, pressing his hands against Taehyung’s chest in a weak attempt to create distance. “Because you’re ridiculous.”

Taehyung leaned closer, their noses brushing. “Or maybe,” he murmured, “you secretly enjoy it?”

Jungkook’s eyes widened before he scoffed. “You wish.”

Taehyung chuckled, finally letting go. “One day, I’m going to make you admit it.”

Jungkook straightened his clothes, huffing. “In your dreams.”

Taehyung winked. “Oh, you have no idea what I dream about, princess.”

Jungkook let out an annoyed groan, turning on his heel and walking toward the door. “I’m leaving before you embarrass yourself any further.”

Taehyung followed behind, grinning. “I’m just stating facts. You love me, you adore me, and one day you’ll beg me to—”

Jungkook slammed the door in Taehyung’s face, making the alpha burst into laughter.

Four days until the ritual…

Four days to make Jungkook completely his again.
