Chapter 47: HIS LUNA
The Interrogation
The underground dungeon was dimly lit, the flickering torches casting eerie
shadows against the cold stone walls. A heavy scent of dampness and iron
lingered in the air, mixing with the unmistakable stench of blood. The rogue
spy sat in the center of the chamber, his wrists bound tightly with enchanted
chains that burned against his skin whenever he struggled.
Taehyung entered the room, his golden eyes glowing dangerously in the low
light. He exuded dominance, the weight of his presence enough to make the rogue
flinch. Jungkook followed closely behind, his expression unreadable, though the
subtle glow of his purple eyes hinted at his growing anger. Namjoon, Jin, and
Yoongi stood near the entrance, ready to step in if necessary, while Jimin and
Hoseok observed from the shadows, their sharp gazes fixed on the trembling spy.
Taehyung took slow, deliberate steps towards the captive, crouching to meet
his gaze. "You have two choices," he said, his voice smooth yet laced
with quiet menace. "You tell me what I want to know, or I let my Luna
handle you." He tilted his head toward Jungkook, whose wolf was barely
contained beneath his skin, itching to tear the traitor apart.
The rogue chuckled dryly, spitting blood onto the floor. "You think you
scare me, True Blood? Master Woosik will—"
A sharp crack echoed through the dungeon as Taehyung gripped the rogue’s jaw
with an inhuman strength, forcing him to meet his glowing gaze. The air in the
room thickened, an invisible force pressing down on everyone present. The spy
gasped, his pupils dilating as Taehyung's power seeped into his mind.
"You will not speak his name in my presence," Taehyung growled,
his voice echoing unnaturally. His fingers tightened around the rogue’s jaw,
his psychic energy crawling into the man's thoughts like vines constricting
prey. "Now, let’s try this again—what is Woosik planning?"
The rogue’s body convulsed as Taehyung’s power infiltrated his mind, forcing
suppressed memories to the surface. He screamed, veins bulging at his temples
as he fought against the intrusion, but resistance was futile. Taehyung pushed
deeper, pulling out fragmented images—
A dark ritual. A full moon. An army of rogues gathering under
Woosik’s command.
Jungkook watched in awe and unease as Taehyung’s true blood abilities took
over. This wasn’t just an interrogation; Taehyung was breaking him piece by
piece, tearing through his mind without mercy. The spy’s breaths came in ragged
gasps, his body convulsing violently. Blood trickled from his nose as he let
out a strangled sob.
"He… he wanted to stop the ritual," the rogue finally choked out.
"The full moon… He’ll attack the night before… He knows you need time to
get a grip on your full strength. If he stops it… you won’t be able to defeat
him."
Taehyung leaned back slightly, releasing his hold, allowing the rogue to
slump forward in exhaustion. The room was silent except for his ragged
breathing.
Jungkook stepped forward, gripping Taehyung’s wrist gently. "That’s
enough," he murmured, sensing that Taehyung was still lingering inside the
rogue’s mind, feeding off his pain. Taehyung exhaled deeply, his golden eyes
dimming slightly before he stood, his usual calm demeanor returning.
Namjoon crossed his arms, processing the information. "If Woosik
attacks before the full moon, we’ll need to fortify our defenses now. We can’t
afford to wait."
Jin nodded. "And we need to prepare for the worst-case scenario. If
anything went wrong, we may not get another chance."
Hoseok glanced at the barely conscious spy. "What do we do with
him?"
Taehyung’s gaze flickered toward the rogue, his expression unreadable.
"Kill him," he said simply. "We can’t risk him escaping."
Jungkook hesitated but didn’t protest. He knew Taehyung was right. There was
no room for mercy in war.
Yoongi stepped forward, his voice calm. "I’ll handle it."
As they all exited the dungeon, Taehyung turned to Jungkook, his gaze softer
now. "Are you afraid of me?"
Jungkook held his gaze, then shook his head. "No. I just don’t want you
to lose yourself to this."
Taehyung smiled faintly, brushing his fingers against Jungkook’s cheek.
"I won’t. Not as long as I have you."
Jungkook leaned into the touch, nodding. "Then let’s end this war.
Together."
The battle was approaching, and now, they had a clearer vision of what lay
ahead. The real fight was about to begin.
