Chapter 63: HIS LUNA
A New Era Begins
The warm morning sunlight filtered through the large windows of the pack
house, casting a golden glow over the long wooden dining table where everyone
was gathered. Laughter and chatter filled the air as plates were passed around,
the scent of freshly baked bread and roasted meat wafting through the room. It
was one of the rare mornings where they could all enjoy a peaceful meal
together, free from the shadows of war.
Jungkook sat beside Taehyung, absently nibbling on a piece of fruit while
his mind raced with the weight of the news he carried. His hands rested over
his stomach unconsciously, and Taehyung, ever observant, placed a reassuring
hand over his.
Yoongi, mid-bite, arched an eyebrow. “What’s with the secret hand-holding?
You two are acting even more sickeningly in love than usual.”
Jimin snickered. “Agreed. It’s like you have some big secret.”
Jungkook’s eyes darted to Taehyung, silently asking for support. Taehyung
squeezed his hand and cleared his throat, drawing everyone’s attention.
“We do have something to tell you,” Taehyung announced, his deep voice
steady, though his eyes betrayed his excitement. “Jungkook and I…” He glanced
at his mate, lips twitching. “We’re expecting.”
A beat of silence. Then—
“What?!” Hoseok choked on his drink, eyes widening comically.
Jin, ever the motherly figure, gasped dramatically before jumping from his
seat to engulf Jungkook in a tight hug. “Oh my god! A pup! You’re having a
pup?!”
Jungkook chuckled, albeit a bit breathlessly from Jin’s enthusiastic
embrace. “Yeah… I guess I am.”
The room erupted into a flurry of exclamations, congratulations, and teasing
remarks. Namjoon, the voice of reason, leaned back with a pleased expression.
“This is amazing news. The first pup born from true-blood mates.”
Yoongi smirked, his sharp eyes narrowing playfully at Taehyung. “Looks like
you didn’t waste any time.”
Taehyung, unfazed, grinned. “Of course not. We were meant to create a
legacy.”
Jungkook groaned, cheeks burning. “Can we not discuss how it happened?”
Laughter rippled through the table, and despite his embarrassment, Jungkook
found himself smiling. For once, they weren’t talking about war, strategies, or
impending doom. They were talking about life—about a future.
But peace was fleeting.
A knock on the dining hall doors interrupted their moment. One of the guards
entered, bowing respectfully. “Alpha, the head Alphas from the allied packs
have arrived. They request an audience immediately.”
The mood shifted instantly. Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged a look before
both stood. “We’ll meet them in the council room,” Taehyung declared.
Minutes later, the grand council chamber was filled with the most powerful
Alphas from across the allied packs. Their expressions were grave but
determined. Namjoon, as the former acting leader, stood beside Taehyung and
Jungkook as they took their places at the head of the table.
One of the eldest Alphas, a gray-haired but powerful-looking man, spoke
first. “We have fought long and hard for this victory. But the world still sees
us as fractured packs with no clear leader. The war against Woosik has proven
that we need strong leadership—one that unites us all.”
Another Alpha, a fierce-looking woman with striking blue eyes, nodded. “We
have discussed this amongst ourselves. And we have come to a decision.”
Taehyung straightened, his golden eyes sharp. “What decision?”
The room fell into a moment of silence before the eldest Alpha spoke again,
his words carrying immense weight. “We want you, Taehyung, to be our Royal
Alpha—the ruler of all packs.”
A murmur of agreement rippled through the room. The blue-eyed Alpha turned
to Jungkook. “And we want you, Luna Jungkook, to stand beside him as our Royal
Luna.”
Jungkook inhaled sharply. His eyes widened as he processed the enormity of
their request. He felt Taehyung’s hand slip into his, grounding him.
Taehyung, despite the surprise in his gaze, held his head high. “You wish
for us to rule over all packs?”
“Yes,” another Alpha confirmed. “The era of scattered leadership must end.
You are the True Blood Alpha, the strongest we have seen in centuries. And with
your mate beside you, your bond will ensure balance and prosperity.”
Jungkook glanced at Taehyung, his heart pounding. This was bigger than just
their pack. It was bigger than anything they had imagined.
Taehyung tightened his grip on Jungkook’s hand and finally spoke, his voice
resolute. “If this is what our people need—then we will not turn away from it.”
"But you all will still work as head alphas, we will observe and see
monthly reports from you all about your packs and will only interfere with your
decision if we feel something wrong"
The room erupted into unified agreement. The dawn of a new reign had begun.
