Chapter 43: CRIMSON OBSESSION

The Hunter’s Obsession

Taehyung sat in the dimly lit confines of his private lounge, his fingers idly grazing over the cold metal of the collar still locked around his throat. The weight of it, the way it pressed into his skin, was a reminder—one that should have angered him. Yet, all he could think about was the way Jungkook had looked at him. The dark amusement, the ruthless control, the twisted pleasure in his eyes as he had denied Taehyung his release again and again.

His fingers clenched around the metal. No one had ever done that to him. No one had ever dared.

Closing his eyes, he leaned back against the plush seat, the images playing in his head like a forbidden film. Jungkook’s voice, husky and commanding, whispering filth into his ear. The way his body had betrayed him, trembling under the man’s touch. The humiliating pleasure that had overtaken him—pleasure that, no matter how much he wanted to deny it, had consumed him whole.

A sharp exhale left his lips as he shifted, his body reacting at just the thought.

“I’ll make you beg.”

The words echoed in his mind, and his jaw tightened. No, he would never beg. He had lost this round, but Taehyung never stayed defeated for long. If Jungkook thought he could own him, control him, break him, then he had no idea who he was dealing with.

Reaching for his whiskey glass, he took a slow sip, savoring the burn as he plotted his next move. His mind wasn’t just consumed by the need to reclaim control—it was overtaken by something far darker. He wanted to see Jungkook in that same vulnerable position. Tied, restrained, at his mercy. He wanted to hear those arrogant lips whimper his name instead of commands.

He smirked at the thought, his tongue running over his bottom lip.

The mere image of Jungkook writhing under him, forced to endure the same slow, torturous pleasure, sent a shiver of anticipation down his spine. The idea of making Jungkook break, making him crave him the way Taehyung was starting to crave him—it was intoxicating.

He set his glass down and ran a hand through his hair, his pupils dilated with lust and obsession. He would have Jungkook, completely. Mind, body, and soul. He would turn the tables, make the predator feel what it was like to be hunted.

A dark smile played on his lips as he stood. It was time to begin his plan.

And when the time came, Jungkook would know exactly what it meant to belong to him.

But before he could set his plans into motion, an unexpected distraction arose.

The media exploded with a sudden announcement—one that sent a cold wave of fury through his veins.

A famous actress, a rising star in the entertainment industry, had made a shocking declaration to the press.

She was engaged.

To Jeon Jungkook.

The headlines were everywhere, flashing across every news outlet, every tabloid, every social media platform. Photos of the woman, glowing with false modesty, parading herself in front of the cameras as she claimed to have been secretly dating the mysterious CEO of Jeon Enterprises for months. The announcement was abrupt, suspicious, and Taehyung knew better than to believe it.

His grip tightened around the glass until it cracked.

This wasn’t real.

It was a calculated move—an attempt to use Jungkook’s name to elevate her own status, to secure bigger offers, more influence, more power. A pathetic stunt.

Yet, what truly enraged Taehyung wasn’t the woman’s deception. It was the fact that Jungkook hadn’t denied it.

His lips curled into a dangerous smirk, but his eyes were nothing but ice.

“Interesting,” he muttered darkly. “Let’s see how long this little fantasy of hers lasts.”

Because Jeon Jungkook was his to break.

And no one—no desperate, fame-hungry woman—was going to take what belonged to him.
