Chapter 45: HIS LUNA

The Morning After

The morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a golden hue over the room. The air was thick with the scent of completion, of a bond now sealed—an intoxicating mix of Taehyung’s powerful musk and Jungkook’s delicate yet dominant aroma. Their marks on each other glowed faintly, signifying the eternal connection they now shared.

Jungkook stirred first, his lashes fluttering against his cheeks as the warmth surrounding him made him nuzzle closer. He felt a firm chest beneath his cheek, the steady rhythm of a heartbeat soothing him. A satisfied hum left his lips as he stretched slightly, but before he could move away, strong arms tightened around him, pulling him flush against a broad chest.

“Where do you think you’re going, my Luna?” Taehyung’s deep morning voice sent a shiver down Jungkook’s spine. The huskiness of it, the possessiveness—it made Jungkook’s cheeks burn.

“I-I wasn’t going anywhere,” Jungkook mumbled, his voice thick with sleep, though his body betrayed him with a slight wriggle.

Taehyung chuckled, pressing his nose into the crook of Jungkook’s neck, inhaling deeply. “You smell like me,” he murmured in satisfaction, his fingers tracing over the fresh mark on Jungkook’s skin. “And I smell like you.”

Jungkook blushed, biting his lip. “Of course, we marked each other, you idiot.”

Taehyung hummed in amusement, shifting slightly so that he hovered over Jungkook, his golden eyes staring into Jungkook’s deep, mesmerizing purple ones. “Do you regret it?” he asked, his voice softer now, a vulnerability laced within it.

Jungkook blinked up at him before reaching up to cup Taehyung’s cheek, his thumb brushing over the soft skin. “Never.”

A slow smile spread across Taehyung’s lips, his heart swelling at the sincerity in Jungkook’s voice. He leaned down, capturing Jungkook’s lips in a slow, lazy kiss, their bond thrumming between them, stronger than ever.

Jungkook sighed into the kiss, his fingers tangling in Taehyung’s dark hair. The afterglow of their mating left his body feeling light yet completely whole. The overwhelming sense of security, of love, of belonging—it was unlike anything he had ever felt before.

“I love you,” Taehyung whispered against his lips, pressing their foreheads together.

Jungkook felt warmth spread through his entire being at those words. He let out a small laugh before whispering back, “I love you too, my Alpha.”

Taehyung growled playfully at the title, rolling them over so that Jungkook straddled him. He smirked up at his mate. “Say that again.”

Jungkook tilted his head, his eyes gleaming mischievously. “My Alpha,” he teased.

Taehyung groaned, gripping Jungkook’s hips. “You're playing with fire, Luna.”

Jungkook only giggled before leaning down to kiss him again, their souls intertwined, their bond unbreakable.

A knock on the door interrupted their moment, making Jungkook groan in frustration as he buried his face in Taehyung’s chest. “Who dares disturb my morning?” Taehyung grumbled, his voice still thick with sleep.

The door creaked open slightly, and Jimin’s teasing voice echoed through the room. “Rise and shine, lovebirds! Time for breakfast, or are you two too busy basking in your glow?”

Jungkook’s face turned crimson as he quickly buried himself deeper under the blankets, earning a loud laugh from Taehyung.

Namjoon’s voice joined in from outside. “We don’t mind giving you more time, but just know that everyone is already talking about a certain someone’s glowing skin.”

Jungkook peeked out from under the blanket, glaring at the door. “I hate all of you.”

Taehyung only grinned, placing a playful kiss on Jungkook’s temple. “Come on, my Luna. Let’s go show them just how radiant you look today.”

Jungkook huffed but allowed Taehyung to pull him out of bed. As much as he wanted to hide, he knew this was just the beginning of the teasing. And somehow, despite all the embarrassment, he couldn’t stop the small smile forming on his lips. He was happy, he was loved, and most importantly—he was home.

Outside, the world continued on, but in this moment, wrapped in each other’s arms, nothing else mattered.
