Chapter 46: CRIMSON OBSESSION
Blood-Stained Vows
The apartment was bathed in a soft golden glow, the luxurious décor reflecting the wealth and status of the woman who lived there. A perfect illusion of glamour. But beneath the surface, darkness loomed, creeping in with the man who had just stepped inside.
Taehyung moved like a shadow, his presence unseen, yet his intent suffocated the air with malice. The actress sat in front of her live-streaming setup, blissfully unaware of the danger lurking behind her. She was too busy gushing about her engagement to Jeon Jungkook, her voice dripping with false excitement as she flaunted the diamond ring on her delicate fingers.
How dare she.
Taehyung’s grip tightened around the blade in his hand, his lips curling into a sinister smirk. He had been watching her, waiting for the perfect moment. And now, as thousands of people watched her live, they would hear the consequences of her lies.
The first strike wasn’t lethal—it was calculated. A sharp slash across her thigh had her screaming, her piercing wail cutting through the air, turning the chat into a frenzy of confusion and panic.
[What’s happening?!]
[Was that a scream?]
[OMG, someone help her!]
The camera wobbled as she stumbled back, clutching her bleeding leg. Taehyung stalked toward her, his eyes alight with cruel amusement. “You should've kept my name out of your filthy mouth,” he murmured, grabbing a fistful of her hair and slamming her face against the glass table. The sound of shattering glass and her pained sobs sent another ripple of terror through the viewers.
She whimpered, blood trickling from her forehead, her hands shaking as she tried to crawl away. “P-Please... I didn’t mean—”
Taehyung pressed the blade against her cheek, shushing her softly. “Oh, but you did. You wanted the world to think you belonged to Jungkook. That he was yours.” He dragged the tip of the knife down her throat, just enough to draw a thin line of blood. “You were never meant to touch him.”
Tears streamed down her face as she shook her head frantically. “I-I only did it for publicity! My manager told me—”
Taehyung let out a cold laugh. “Publicity?” He tilted his head, amused by her pathetic attempt to shift the blame. “Then let’s make this your final performance.”
With a swift motion, he stabbed the blade into her side, twisting it cruelly as she let out a choked scream. The chat exploded in horror, countless messages flooding in, but no one could help her now.
She coughed, blood spilling from her lips, her body convulsing as he pulled the knife out. “P-Please… I’ll do anything,” she sobbed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Taehyung hummed in thought before leaning in, his lips grazing her ear. “Anything?”
She nodded desperately, hope flickering in her glassy eyes. “Y-Yes… just don’t—”
The final slash was clean, precise. Her throat opened up in a gurgling gasp, her body slumping against the table. Blood pooled around her, soaking her designer dress in a morbid contrast of beauty and death.
Taehyung took his time, lifting her limp body and positioning her against the wall, her head tilted at an unnatural angle. Dipping his fingers into the warm blood, he began to write, each stroke deliberate, each word a declaration of war.
'A king’s claim is absolute. The next fool to challenge it will suffer worse than death.'
The second he stepped back, a slow whistle echoed through the room.
Taehyung turned his head, meeting the dark, amused eyes of Jeon Jungkook, standing lazily in the doorway. Dressed in all black, his silhouette was the perfect picture of sin and destruction.
“Well, well,” Jungkook mused, a smirk tugging at his lips. “I came here to meet my supposed fiancée, but instead…” He let his gaze rake over Taehyung, his chest rising and falling from the exertion of his kill, his skin painted in warm blood. “…I found my baby boy making a mess.”
Taehyung licked the corner of his mouth, heart hammering in his chest. “Took you long enough.”
Jungkook chuckled, stepping closer, tilting his head as he openly admired the chaos Taehyung had created. “Fuck, you look hot like this. All covered in blood… so fuckable.”
The camera was still streaming, but Jungkook had stayed in the shadows, his face unseen. The chat was now flooded with terrified messages, viewers panicking over the horrific sounds and bloodied glimpse of the woman’s unmoving body.
The distant wail of sirens pierced the tension, growing louder by the second.
Jungkook let out a mock sigh. “Seems like we have an audience.”
Taehyung chuckled darkly, stepping away from the corpse. “Let’s give them something to remember.”
With that, the two disappeared into the night, leaving behind a blood-soaked message that would send the world into a frenzy. The police arrived minutes later, only to find the lifeless body of the actress, her corpse arranged elegantly against the wall. The camera still streamed, capturing the chilling declaration left behind for all to see.
The war had begun.
