Chapter 50: HIS LUNA
The Rescue Plan
The atmosphere inside the war room was thick with tension. A large wooden
table stood at the center, a map of the surrounding territory spread across it.
The scent of worry and frustration lingered in the air as the pack leaders
gathered, their faces grim. All nearby packs were attacked and a lot of innocent
omegas and betas were kidnapped. The attack was just a distraction; it was a
very well-planned strategy.
Taehyung stood at the head of the table, his golden eyes burning with
urgency. Jungkook stood beside him, arms crossed, his jaw clenched tightly.
Yoongi and Hoseok were badly injured, and Jimin was in the hands of their
enemies. Time was running out.
Beta Doyun of a nearby pack stepped forward. "I tracked their scent up
to the eastern valley before it disappeared. They either masked it with magic
or entered a heavily guarded territory."
A heavy silence fell over the room before Yoona, the lead strategist, spoke.
"The only ones capable of masking a scent so effectively are either
witches… or Woosik’s followers."
The name sent a chill down everyone’s spine. Woosik had been a nightmare
lurking in the shadows for too long, and now, it was clear he was making his
move.
"This confirms our suspicions," Namjoon said. "Woosik’s forces
are active, and they’ve captured our people. We have to assume Jimin, Yoongi,
and Hoseok are being held in one of their strongholds."
“We can’t afford to wait any longer,” Namjoon said, his voice steady despite
the weight of the situation. “The longer they have Jimin, the more danger he’s
in. We need to act now.”
Jin placed a comforting hand on Namjoon’s shoulder before speaking. “Do we
have any idea where they might have taken him?” Seokjin's expression was grave.
"He was taken with purpose. This wasn't just about causing chaos. They
wanted Jimin for a reason."
"He's an Omega," Taehyung muttered darkly, his fingers curling
into fists. "And not just any Omega—he's strong, strategic, and deeply
bonded to Yoongi, Hoseok and all of us. They're wrong if they think they can
use him against us."
Taehyung exhaled sharply, his fingers tracing the map. “The scent trail we
followed disappeared near the eastern ridge. There
are old ruins in that area—abandoned for years, but still standing. It’s the
perfect place to hide a prisoner.”
Jungkook nodded. “It’s also far enough from our territory that
reinforcements won’t be able to reach us easily if we get ambushed.”
Hoseok’s absence weighed heavily on everyone. If they had continued tracking
Jimin’s captors, there was a chance they had been caught, or worse. Taehyung
refused to entertain the thought of losing more of his pack.
Jungkook’s fists slammed onto the table, making everyone flinch. "Then
we don’t waste time. We infiltrate, we kill anyone who stands in our way, and
we take them back."
Taehyung smirked, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "I like the way you
think."
“We split into two teams,” Taehyung declared. “One will search eastern ridge
and will rescue Jimin. The other will track the other kidnapped wolves' scent
up to the eastern valley before it disappeared.”
“I’ll lead the rescue team,” Jungkook said firmly. “Jimin is my best
friend—I won’t let them keep him.”
“I’ll go with you,” Namjoon added. “We need strength and strategy.”
Taehyung looked at Jin. “You and I will track others. If they’re injured or
trapped, we need to find them before it’s too late.” He will turn towards
A ripple of agreement passed through the room. They were running out of
time, but they weren’t going into this blind.
A young Alpha leader stepped forward hesitantly. “Alpha, the rogues who
attacked us… something was different about them. They weren’t just regular
rogues.”
Taehyung’s eyes sharpened. “What do you mean?”
“They were coordinated,” the scout continued. “Their attacks weren’t
random—they had a strategy. And some of them… they didn’t smell completely like
wolves. It was almost like… they had been altered.”
The realization sent a chill through the room. Black magic. Woosik was
experimenting again.
Jungkook clenched his fists. “Then we need to be even more careful. If he’s
found a way to enhance them, we don’t know what we’re walking into.”
Taehyung turned to the witches standing silently in the shadows of the room.
“Can you provide any protection for us?”
One of them, a woman with piercing silver eyes, stepped forward. “We can
cloak you from detection for a short time, but it won’t last forever. And if
Woosik is involved, he will sense you the moment you get too close.”
“We’ll take whatever advantage we can get,” Taehyung said firmly. “We leave
at dawn. Everyone, get ready.”
The pack members nodded in agreement, determination shining in their eyes.
Jimin was waiting for them. And they would bring him home, no matter the
cost.
The decision was made. There was no turning back.
Taehyung exchanged a glance with Jungkook, silent understanding passing
between them.
This wasn’t just a rescue mission. This was war.
