Chapter 51: HIS LUNA
Into the Shadows – The Rescue Mission
The night air was thick with tension as the
warriors of the pack stood assembled at the forest’s edge. The moon hung high,
casting an eerie silver glow over their tense forms. Every wolf was on edge,
their senses heightened, their instincts screaming of the battle that lay
ahead.
Taehyung stood at the front, his golden eyes
glowing with determination. His fingers twitched with anticipation, his body
thrumming with the need to act. Jungkook stood beside him, his violet eyes
burning with the same resolve. They had no time to waste. Every second Jimin
remained captive was a second too long.
Namjoon stepped forward, his deep voice
carrying authority. “We strike fast and without hesitation. The rogues have
taken Jimin and others deep into their territory. The witches confirmed that
their hideout is cloaked in dark magic, but we have something they don’t—a True
Blood Alpha and Omega.”
All eyes turned to Taehyung and Jungkook, the
only two of their kind. Power radiated from them like a burning sun. Their
bond, now strengthened through the ritual, gave them an edge no enemy could
predict.
“They won’t see us coming,” Taehyung said, his
voice calm but deadly. “Jungkook and I will lead the assault. The rest of you
will follow in groups. We take them out one by one, silent and swift. No
mistakes.”
Yoongi, his expression dark and unreadable,
stepped closer. His voice was rough with barely concealed worry. “I’m not
leaving without Jimin.”
“Neither me,” Hoseok affirmed, his usually
bright aura replaced with steely determination.
Jungkook placed a hand on Yoongi’s shoulder,
offering silent reassurance. “We’ll get him back.”
With a sharp nod, Taehyung gave the command.
“Move out.”
The pack melted into the darkness, their
bodies blending seamlessly with the shadows as they moved through the dense
forest. Every step was calculated, every breath controlled. The scent of rogues
was thick in the air, a disgusting mix of sweat, blood, and decay. It led them
straight to the enemy’s den.
Jungkook was the first to spot the entrance—a
narrow crevice hidden between two jagged cliffs. A perfect trap, but they had
no choice.
“They’re inside,” he whispered, his wolf’s
senses picking up the muffled sounds of movement and low growls.
Taehyung nodded, signaling to their warriors
to surround the area. “We go in first,” he told Jungkook. “The rest wait for my
signal.”
Yoongi clenched his fists. “If anything
happens to Jimin—”
“It won’t,” Taehyung cut in, his voice a
promise. “Stay close.”
With that, they moved.
The moment Taehyung and Jungkook slipped
through the entrance, the stench of dark magic hit them like a wave. The air
inside was heavy, suffocating, laced with an unnatural chill. Torches lined the
cavern walls, casting flickering shadows that danced like specters.
Then they saw him.
Jimin was bound to a stone pillar, his wrists
shackled, his usually bright eyes dull with exhaustion. Bruises marred his
delicate skin, and a cruel cut ran across his cheek.
Yoongi made a sound—something between a growl
and a whimper—but Taehyung held up a hand, signaling him to stay put.
“We need to be smart,” Jungkook murmured.
“They wouldn’t leave him unguarded.”
As if on cue, a sinister laugh echoed through
the chamber.
“So, you finally came,” a voice drawled.
From the shadows, a rogue stepped forward.
Unlike the mindless ones they had fought before, this one radiated power—a
beta, strong and seasoned.
“You must be the True Bloods,” he sneered.
“How wonderful. Our master will be pleased.”
Taehyung’s expression darkened. “You won’t
live to tell him.”
With a flick of his wrist, he gave the signal.
The battle erupted in an instant. Warriors
flooded into the cavern, engaging the rogues in a violent clash of fangs and
claws. Jungkook darted forward, his speed unmatched, taking down two enemies
before they could react. Taehyung moved like a storm, his attacks swift and
lethal.
Yoongi fought his way to Jimin, his heart
pounding in his chest. He reached him just as a rogue lunged, but Yoongi was
faster—his claws slashed across the enemy’s throat, sending him crumbling to
the ground.
“Jimin!” Yoongi’s voice broke as he tore at
the chains. “I’ve got you.”
Jimin’s lips trembled. “Yoon…gi…”
“Stay with me, baby,” Yoongi whispered,
finally breaking the last shackle. He caught Jimin as he collapsed, holding him
close, his own body shaking with relief and rage.
“Time to end this,” Taehyung growled.
The last rogue standing let out a guttural
snarl. “You think this is over? You think you’ve won?” His lips curled into a
wicked grin. “Our master knows you’re coming. And he’s ready.”
Taehyung’s golden eyes burned. “Then tell him
we’re coming for him.”
With one final strike, the rogue fell.
The cavern fell into silence, only the sound
of heavy breathing filling the space. They had won this fight, but the real
battle had yet to begin.
Jungkook turned to Taehyung. “We need to
prepare.”
Taehyung nodded. “This was only the
beginning.”
