Chapter 56: HIS LUNA
The Dark Energy
The moon hung high in the sky, its glow barely penetrating the thick canopy
of the forest. A tense silence had settled over the pack as the witches
gathered in the center of the meeting hall, their faces grim. Candles flickered
around them, casting eerie shadows as they worked their magic, hands moving in
synchronized motions over an ancient map of the territory.
Taehyung stood at the edge of the room, his arms crossed, his body stiff
with anticipation. His golden eyes glowed faintly in the dim light, focused
solely on the witches.
"We have found something," one of the witches, an elder with
silver-streaked hair, finally spoke, her voice carrying a weight that sent
chills through the room. "Deep within the western side of the forest, past
the forbidden grounds, there is an overwhelming presence of dark energy."
The air grew heavier, the tension in the room thickening. Namjoon narrowed
his eyes, stepping forward. "Is it Jungkook?" he asked, his voice
sharp with urgency.
The witch shook her head. "No. It is not him, but... the sheer amount
of dark energy there is unnatural. Unlike anything we’ve sensed before."
A murmur spread through the room as everyone exchanged wary glances.
"Then what is it?" Jin pressed, concern evident in his tone.
The elder witch took a deep breath. "We believe it is Woosik. His aura
is unmistakable. And if he is there… then the possibility of Jungkook being
held captive in the same place is very high."
A low growl rumbled in Taehyung’s chest. His claws extended instinctively,
his wolf itching to tear through anything standing between him and his mate.
"Then we’re wasting time. We move now."
"No!" the witch interrupted, eyes flashing. "You must
prepare. This isn’t just any rogue hideout. This place is heavily cursed,
surrounded by layers of black magic. If we rush in unprepared, we risk losing
everyone."
Taehyung clenched his jaw, his fists shaking with the effort to restrain
himself. Every second wasted was another second Jungkook was alone, suffering.
Namjoon took charge. "Then we do what we must. We gather our best
warriors. We prepare for battle. We ensure that when we go in, we come out
victorious."
A chorus of agreements echoed through the hall. Hoseok, Yoongi, and Seokjin
immediately set out to organize the warriors and alert other head Alphas, while
Namjoon and the witches worked on devising countermeasures against the dark
magic protecting the area.
Taehyung remained unmoving, his heart pounding with rage and desperation. He
stared at the map, his mind only focused on one thing—
Jungkook.
His Luna.
Wherever he was, whatever pain he was enduring, Taehyung would find him.
And Woosik would pay for ever laying a hand on his mate.
