Chapter 59: HIS LUNA
The Battle Within the Heart
of Darkness
The cursed forest pulsed with an eerie glow, thick with the scent of blood,
magic, and impending war. The warriors and head alphas, led by Taehyung and his
closest friends, advanced into the abyss, surged forward, slashing through
their enemies. Blood splattered the ground as bodies fell, but the rogues kept
coming. The forest was alive with battle cries and snarls, the air thick with
death and destruction.
The witches moved alongside them, chanting softly as they worked to break
the invisible seal that kept Woosik’s lair hidden from sight.
"Defensive formations!" Namjoon bellowed, unsheathing his claws as
warriors clashed with the frenzied beasts.
Yoongi, Hoseok, and the others surged forward, slashing through their
enemies. Blood splattered the ground as bodies fell, but the rogues kept coming.
Through the chaos, Taehyung remained laser-focused on one goal: Jungkook.
His mate was inside.
With a curt nod, Yoongi and Namjoon exchanged silent understanding.
"Go!" Yoongi shouted, blocking an attack meant for Taehyung.
"Find him!"
Hoseok and Namjoon stayed back, fighting to hold off the onslaught, allowing
Taehyung to slip into the shadows. Moving with lethal grace, he weaved through
the carnage, cutting down any guards in his way. His instincts flared as he
picked up Jungkook’s scent—faint
but unmistakable.
A mansion loomed ahead, heavily guarded. There was
no mistaking it—Jungkook was in there.
Taehyung’s wolf howled in his mind, urging him to move faster.
Silently, he took down the first two guards with a flick of his claws, their
bodies slumping to the ground. He sprinted through the hallways, following that
intoxicating scent—his mate. The deeper he went, the more he could hear the
clash of battle behind him and something else.
A roar. A snarl. A voice filled with venom.
Bursting through the last corridor, Taehyung found himself stepping into a
vast blood-soaked garden.
And there, standing in the midst of carnage, was Jungkook.
Taehyung’s heart nearly stopped. His mate was drenched in blood, his shirt
torn, wounds littering his body. Yet, despite the pain, he
fought fiercely.
Bodies of dead rogues littered the ground, and in front of him stood Woosik,
seething with rage. His eyes burned with fury as he lunged at Jungkook, claws
raised for a fatal strike.
Taehyung didn’t think.
He moved.
With a feral growl, he launched himself between them, blocking Woosik’s
attack just in time. Their claws clashed, sending sparks of energy through the
air. The force sent both alphas skidding back, but Taehyung stood firm,
shielding his mate behind him.
Jungkook, panting heavily, locked eyes with him. Relief flashed across his
exhausted features, but there was no time for words. Woosik’s snarl brought
them back to reality.
Taehyung cracked his knuckles, a slow smirk forming on his bloodied lips.
"You made a mistake touching what’s mine."
Woosik spat, his rage palpable. "And you made a mistake thinking you
can stop me."
The fight was far from over.
The real battle had just begun.
