Chapter Fifty-Five "Phoenix in His Arms"
The Freshers' Party
Preparations
The entire mansion was in chaos. Clothes were strewn across the floor,
accessories lay scattered over the bed, and the sound of bickering filled the
grand walk-in closet. Jungkook, Jimin, Soobin, and Niki were deep in a heated
debate over what to wear to the freshers’ party, and at the center of it all,
Mrs. Kim stood with an amused smile, enjoying the spectacle.
“Jimin, I swear if you steal my leather jacket one more time—” Jungkook
huffed, yanking the piece away from his friend.
“Oh, come on! It goes perfectly with my outfit,” Jimin pouted, placing a
hand on his hip.
“It goes perfectly with MY outfit,” Jungkook shot back.
Soobin rolled his eyes. “At this rate, we’ll miss the entire party.”
“Why are you even bothering? No one’s gonna look at you when I enter the
room,” Niki smirked, adjusting her dress.
Jungkook turned to glare at him. “Please, as if you can outshine me.”
Mrs. Kim, who had been quietly observing, finally stepped in. “Enough, boys.
You all look handsome. But you need to finish getting ready before your
professor comes looking for you. And Miki, you are looking stunning. Go and
rock it.”
That reminder had all of them freezing for a moment before they went back to
rushing around. If Taehyung found out how they had turned the mansion upside
down, they would never hear the end of it.
After what felt like ages of rummaging, accessorizing, and last-minute
touch-ups, the four finally stood in front of the mirror, admiring their
reflections.
Jungkook wore a fitted black silk shirt, unbuttoned just enough to be
teasing, tucked into leather pants that hugged his toned legs. A silver chain
rested around his neck, adding a touch of rebellion. His dark hair was tousled
to perfection, giving him a devilishly handsome look.
Niki opted for a crimson crop top with a high-waisted black skirt, fishnet
stockings adding to his daring look. She paired it with a leather jacket (which
she had successfully stolen from Jungkook while he was fighting with Jimin) and
boots that made her look every bit the heartbreaker.
Soobin went for a sleek monochrome look—black dress pants, a white fitted
shirt, and a matching blazer with gold accents. His silver rings glistened
under the light, and his effortlessly styled hair added to his charm.
Jimin, choosing to be bold today, wore a deep blue satin shirt, slightly
oversized, tucked into fitted ripped jeans. His combat boots and layered chains
made him look both stylish and dangerous.
Mrs. Kim clapped her hands in approval. “Oh my, my babies looks stunning.
You’re going to make heads turn tonight.”
Jungkook smirked. “Of course we will.”
Niki tossed her hair. “We always do.”
“Let’s go stop the party,” Soobin and Jimin grinned, adjusting their final
look with perfume.
With one last glance at the mirror, the four brats strutted out of the
mansion, ready to own the night.
The university’s party hall was already buzzing with energy when Jungkook,
Jimin, Soobin, and Niki made their grand entrance. Music blared through the
speakers, colorful lights flashed across the dance floor, and students were
already immersed in the lively atmosphere. But the moment the four of them
stepped inside, the entire room seemed to slow down.
All eyes turned to them.
Jungkook, leading the group, oozed confidence in his fitted black silk
shirt, unbuttoned just enough to tease, tucked into sleek leather pants that
hugged his legs. His silver chain glistened under the lights, and his dark
tousled hair framed his dangerously handsome face. He walked like he owned the
place—and for tonight, maybe he did.
Jimin, by his side, exuded effortless charm in his deep blue satin shirt,
slightly oversized, tucked into ripped jeans that showed off his toned legs.
His layered chains glinted under the dim lighting, and his combat boots clicked
against the floor with every step.
Niki, radiating bold energy, flaunted her crimson crop top paired with a
high-waisted black skirt, her fishnet stockings adding an edgy touch. The
leather jacket she had successfully stolen from Jungkook gave her an
untouchable aura, and her knee-high boots completed the look.
Soobin, ever the smooth one, carried himself with quiet allure. His
monochrome ensemble—black dress pants, a white fitted shirt, and a matching
blazer with gold accents—made him look effortlessly stylish. His silver rings
and effortlessly styled hair only added to the effect.
The whispers started almost immediately.
“Damn, they look like models.”
“Who knew they could clean up this well?”
“Jungkook is looking absolutely lethal tonight.”
“Jimin’s confidence is unreal.”
“I swear Soobin just winked at me. I might pass out.”
The admiration was undeniable, but so was the jealousy. Many students
watched with envy, either wishing they were them or wishing they were with
them. Even some of the seniors looked impressed—and that was saying something.
Jungkook smirked, catching the reaction they were getting. He leaned towards
Jimin and whispered, “Told you we’d stop the party.”
Jimin chuckled. “We didn’t just stop it. We own it now.”
With that, the four of them strutted further inside, making their way to the
center of attention. Tonight, they weren’t just students. Tonight, they were
legends in the making.
